CONSTRUCTION COMPANY CELEBRATES FIVE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY IN DOWNTOWN LANCASTER AND WINS TOP FASTEST-GROWING AWARD

PROTO Construction Management celebrates success and growth!

Lancaster, PA (September 13, 2016) TONO Group (comprised of a family of businesses: RETRO Development, TONO Architects, PROTO Construction, and Interiors by DECO) is pleased to celebrate the five-year anniversary of PROTO Construction, which has seen tremendous growth in the past three years, hiring nine new employees in 2016.

PROTO Construction won spot #31 on Central Penn Business Journal’s 50 Fastest Growing Companies and was honored to have grown more than 310% since 2013. PROTO shared the room with forty-nine other businesses that employ a total of 12,796 people in the Central PA region.

The company recently reached a significant milestone as it completed the self-developed building at 436 West James Street, located in Downtown Lancaster. The adaptive re-use building spans 13,200 square feet and houses TONO Group’s new offices as well as Luca, an Italian wood-burning restaurant and bar which was developed, planned, and built by all entities of TONO Group.

As PROTO Construction celebrates its fifth year, and TONO Group its fifteenth, the future is bright. PROTO plans to hire at least five new full-time employees in 2017 and continues to be a major player within the industry as it focuses on reimagining architecture as a design-build collaborative.

PROTO Construction’s growth is due, in part, to collaboration between industries and entities—its ability to collaborate with its family of companies, thereby strengthening its value, speed, accuracy, and influence within the industry and built environment. Portfolio projects include healthcare, education, retail, commercial, senior living, and private residential works.
